Candidiasis or thrush is a fungal infection of any of the Candida species. In 2009 I became interested in the function of design in nature. I harbored specific interest in the natural patterns created by bacterias and fungi, partly because I had felt that I was indescribably ill with no physical manifestations of sickness. For the next year I followed and created work that reflected this state of paranoid discomfort until I was diagnosed with cancer in 2010.

This pattern and typeface was developed to reflect the Candidiasis fungus at a microscopic level.
